It's my Friday!  For my labor day weekend I will be with my 500 or so cousins aunts uncles of my car.  16 years of BMW Z3 HomeComing events in South Carolina.  We return to our "birthplace" like salmon swimming upstream, this year with Issac we maybe swimming.  Jr. (my Z3) has been getting spiffed up for the big event - when I last saw my hubbie he was waxing under the bonnet!  Of course when you get this many people together for a giant car wash it's going to rain.

If you look close enough you can find me in these pictures - my z is white!  I tear up every time I drive the BMW plant entrance road. We have tech tents for the motor heads, a Make a Visit silent auction, a performance driving center (I'm really bad on the autocross) and take over downtown Greenville for an evening of fun and frolic!
I hope everyone else has a safe and happy Labor Day weekend.

Sounds like a blast, but it just reinforces why I'm happy not to be going to the In-laws this weekend... we're not far from there and with all the regular traffic, and then holiday traffic, and then this... I'll just enjoy staying home.  Smiley

Our Labor Day weekend plans changed Tuesday night when I found out we were NOT going to the in-laws, so I'm thinking just a nice quiet weekend at  home, which is a rarity for us, will be just what is ordered.  We'll batton down the hatches and anything else that is loose and could blow away, and watch the havoc that Issac might want to toss our way.  Rains are starting today in earnest for us (gotta love being so far inland!) but we're on the Eastern side, so expect a good amount to drop on us.

Atlanta...  be safe on the roads.  Have a lot of fun!  Sounds like one of the best 'family' reunions to go to!  Smiley

My mother in law is coming up for a visit. Although I had planned to go putter around at various local attractions, we are supposed to be get rain all weekend from the remnants of Hurricane Isaac too, so more than likely our weekend just got a whole lot quieter. Might actually get some cleaning and canning done though, so that would be good. Everything can sure use the rain (though we got 1.5" earlier this week - hallelujah, which has greened up things a bit).
