I was shopping and was picking my "colors" and I thought about co workers and friends and what they wear. So this week the sound off is for your business attire, what are your main colors? I tend to go for black, grays, olive greens and tans to browns. I do have a royal blue suit as well I love, but dont wear that often.

For suits and dresses, I wear mostly black, grey, navy blue, brown, cream, some pink. My shirts can be any colour but are predominantly white and cream.

Winter or summer, I'm usually found in black, teamed with more black, although I have just started to get into chocolate brown and a little bit of navy (I have one blue outfit - pale blue sweater and navy trousers - which always shocks everyone when I wear it!) My mother always hoped that my love of black would be a phase I'd grow out of ... 40 years later she's still hoping!

I wear navy suit which has a subtle light blue pinstripe with usually a white shirt or a black suit with shirt colour depending on what I can easily get hold of - purple is my favourite.
I wear the black suit mostly as I can wear more with it. Also if I have to go away and stay over somewhere the black suit is more versatile as I can dress it down and go out while I'm away - particularly useful if I need to pack light.

I hardly ever wear suits, tend to wear skirts/trousers and tops/jumpers. Most of the time I wear black trousers, reason being it is almost guaranteed before I leave the house to come to work in a morning that my black lab has brushed passed me or wants to give me a hug before I head off to the office. Black trousers don't show the dog hair ![](http://static.deskdemon.com/community/forums/images/icons/icon_smile.gif)

I mostly wear black to the office - skirts or trousers with jacket and not necessarily suits per se. Tops tend to be any colour - it's red today (with matching shoes!) - but they tend to be bright to lift the black. Or I will wear a black jacket and black top, with a brighter coloured skirt.
Doesn't really matter what time of the year it is as both car and office are warm and I don't get out in the weather much! Although, thinking on it, in summer I will more usually wear a dress (maybe patterned or plain) with a neutral jacket.

I tend to wear dark coloured suits mostly - I leave the house very early and it's difficult to gauge the weather/temperature (regardless of the forecast) so prefer clothes that don't show the rain splashes as I have quite a long walk from the station to the office. I wear a variety of coloured tops, usually plain, to complement the suit. My favourite is a black trouser suit with various shades of pink stitching (round the hems and pockets) and favourite tops with this are lilac or fuschia pink. I had a colour analysis done a few years ago and found some great colours which perhaps I wouldn't previously have chosen to wear, and this has also helped me "mix and match" my wardrobe. ---------------------------------- ![](http://awenet.co.uk/dump/pot_sig.gif)

I wear mostly blacks, browns, and navys. I tend to stay with the more basic colors as it gives me more matching ability in the wee hours of the morning as I am getting ready for work

I like the bright colors, as the look the best with my fair complextion and lets face it in the mid winter blahs, anything with color is a refreshing pace especially this time of year. I go with what colors will look the best for a Winter complextion which is what I have. But I can get away with anything really bright like a fushia, bright yellow, orange, green. I stay away from the muted colors, unless it's a purple or green. I look really good in browns of all tones, and the darker the better. In the winter months I wear courderoy (sp), which is allowed in our office, and any bright sweater I can find to pull it together. We have a very casual office, but I try to keep the casual to a low key and dress a bit nicer than I probably need to, but feel more comfortable in them. The the summer months I'll wear a matching shell, or a printed shell shirt, or a polo shirt to go with the pants. Almost never wear skirts anymore, I'm more prone to a nice sharp looking pant suit if we have company coming in. I have 3-4 sets of those I can wear, enough for an entire week, and we have dress down Friday policy and our guests are usually aware of this on Friday's in our office. I really don't have a favorite color, except I do wear lots of purples, greens and browns. Diamondlady Peer Moderator ![](http://static.deskdemon.com/community/forums/images/icons/usflag.gif)

Black, black and more black! I also tend to do some khaki or beige suits. Very basic shell pink or white blouse. Sometimes will do black jacket and top with herringbone or checked pants. I like things I don't have to think about too much when I'm getting ready.
Currently I'm in maternity clothes which due to the hand-me-down status is a bit more bright than I would normally wear, but still have a basic black suit.

I tend to keep my suits in the basic power colors -- black or navy blue. Really love the penstripe suits, as they definitely shout "power" to me, but that's just MPO. Regular work clothes are slacks in blacks, browns and navy, with a few whitesor creams for a change in summer. Skirts are more prints, so have more colors, but still tend toward the darker colors. My tops are my color, and I love the jewel tones -- true blues, reds, greens. I keep browns, blacks and creams to mix and match well with everything, but when I wear color, you'll rarely see it a muted or baby shade. ![](http://static.deskdemon.com/community/forums/images/icons/icon_smile_wink.gif) I did just buy a pants suit which is basic black pants, a black shell with pink edging and a pink overshirt (worn like a jacket) to go with it, but even it's not a "baby" pink and is more vibrant.
