We have a digital Xerox which seems to have been programmed by somebody who don't speaka da inglesh too good.  It has some nasty little tricks, but my favorite is the one where, if you are trying to copy a non-standard size document (or don't have your document exactly in the right place on the glass) it will tell you to load A-4 (non-standard) size paper.  However, the way it makes the request, most people believe it means that it is out of paper and will bend down to open the (full) papertray.  I saw this happen several times a day, every day,  until they wheeled the durn thing away and I can't see it anymore!

Also, the reset options were pre-programmed to like 1/2 an hour or so, so it never reset!  And fixing that took a special code that it took me several hours bouncing from customer service rep to technician to find!  Our local rep - always (as near as we can figure) out playing golf.  It hasn't been good.

Moral of the story - make sure, in the very least, technical help is nearby and available.
