I had this same problem a while back. I called my computer help desk guy. He said NOT to do that. It will eventually ruin the printer because the sticky residue from the labels you used and peeled off gets stuck to the insides of the printer. Those labels are not designed to be reused (must use whole sheet at once when feeding through printer).
Typewriters on the other hand, are easily cleaned.
If you need to just use one or two labels at a time and not a whole sheet, use the typewriter instead.
I even emailed the label manufacturer to ask if they have a product I could use instead for this purpose. They replied that they did not.
