Well, the presentation is no biggie - but the audience is. I know all the people, and one by one they're all just people and we all have a rapport, but together they make up the "Executive Committee," and that's where my boss wants me to do this presentation on his behalf. He'll be there, but wants me to do the presentation because I'll handle the computer parts better. (Ahem - he doesn't even double-click his mouse - he single clicks, then hits his enter key...)
I know I just need to relax. I guess I just need to have some support!
Thanks guys!

Donna - If your boss didn't think you could handle it, he wouldn't have given you the job. Think of it as a major endorsement from your boss. YOU GO GIRL!
Cyber hugs to you and I hope that settles the butterflies in your stomach.

Go through your presentation tonight - about 10 times. Make sure you know it by heart, because tomorrow, you may need to be able to just SAY it.
You'll do great! I know you will. You'll simply smile your Dazzling Admin Smile, and show 'em your stuff!

Practice, then relax, practice again, and when you're feeling confident and in control, smile and remember that bossie believes in you. You'll do great! Wear a suit or outfit that you feel comfortable and confident in (power suit time, baby!!), take a little extra time for hair/makeup/whatnots in the morning, and you'll feel confident, act confident, and even if you make a boo-boo, everyone will think you were awesome!
You've got it! Now go get 'em! ::::::clapping, cheering, half-time prep speech type::::::

You've gotten some great comments here. I have just one thing to add.
If you need to set up a computer or projector for the meeting, allow yourself time to test it out before the meeting and fix/adjust anything that doesn't go right. That way you can be sure your presentation will go smoothly without any glitches.
I'm speaking, of course, from personal experience. I had to show everyone how to use some new software once. I had run through my presentation at my desk the day before and everything went smoothly. However, the day of the meeting, I had to borrow someone's laptop to project on the screen. Turned out they didn't have access to the same software I do. We ended up having to reschedule the meeting. Boy did I feel foolish for not finding this out in advance and downloading the software onto that laptop!
Ya live and ya learn. I've never done that mistake again.
Another example is when people waste time focusing the projector during their presentation. Always focus beforehand.

At the moment I'm glued to my seat waiting for the call that they are ready for my presentation....
Everything is set up in the boardroom, pre-focused, positioned properly, run through one more time... you watch - when they call me in I'll find that the LCD has been moved, the computer turned off, and it will take me 5 minutes to get it together again!

Of course I had to go potty at the same moment when bossie called me in... Oh well.
Presentation was fine, and they were, for the most part, still regular people!
RadarO: Now, how in the heck did I manage to screw that up so badly!?
