Andrea, thanks for changing the "election" forum to this "Topical Climates" (nice name).  



With this forum, we have a place to put the politically charged questions or topics of the day that will occur without spoiling the laid-back feeling of "Cafe Admin".  



And if some do not wish to participate in this type of discussion, they can just avoid this forum altogether.  We will always have people who feel they need to talk to someone about current events - - that's human nature.  So, in the future, if events occur such as the death of Princess Diana, the shootings at Columbine, the circus of the Simpson trials, or another "non-election" (please, not again!!), then we have a place to vent or discuss or ask questions.



I think it's a good idea.  I will still visit my politically influenced sites, but will monitor all the remarks here as well.



Happy 2001 to everyone, and let's keep this forum constructive, informative, and, above all, civil.
