Contratulations, countrygal! You really deserve this!

Reading through your initial post, I was wondering just how many parts there were in you

. I can’t imagine your supervisor giving you really terrible unnecessary work since she would have to pick it up if you haven’t finished by the time you leave.

You will always be remembered the way you left a company… all the previous years will not matter as much. As they say, the first and last impressions are the important ones and cannot be changed. Put as much professionalism and dignity into the last few days as possible, so that no-one – especially not your supervisor – can possibly complain about you! Besides, the more professional you are the more she will be annoyed!
My previous employer used to do exit interviews to find out the
real reasons why someone would leave. It was after any reference was written, on the last working day, with someone impartial from the HR department, and it was an employee’s chance to get everything off their chest that had been troubling them. If there was anything positive/negative about the supervisor, this would be filed (without the supervisor’s knowledge) in the personnel file, and if the same reasons came up too often, then the supervisor’s job was on the line.
Good luck in your new post!
