19 October: Wednesday night saw the official launch party of Colmore Gate, the latest meeting, training, conference and event space from De Vere Venues, in the centre of Birmingham.
Guests, who included professionals from a cross section of local and national businesses, from banking and insurance to third sector charities enjoyed an evening of champagne, cocktails and canapés, which included delicious fresh Oysters from the fish bar and Pumpkin and Berkswell Goats Cheese Tarts.

The charity raffle, which raised vital funds for The British Heart Foundation, De Vere Venues chosen charity partner, was also a roaring success, with guests winning prizes ranging from Final Day tickets at the Cartier Queens Cup to mini-breaks and golf membership courtesy of De Vere Venues.
Marie Robinson, who spoke on behalf of the BHF commented, “It was a complete shock when I suffered a heart attack at the age of 52. Thankfully, I received amazing support from the BHF to aid me in my recovery process and have since made a number of changes to my lifestyle to reduce the risk factors related to my heart attack.
The BHF uses funds to conduct vital research that could have saved lives like my father’s, who passed away from heart disease at 48. That’s why it is so fantastic to see fundraising like today at Colmore Gate. I am proud to have been able to help to raise important funds for such a life-saving charity.”
Colmore Gate is the latest addition to De Vere Venues’ property portfolio and offers flexible meeting, training and event space in the heart of Birmingham City Centre, just a short walk from Birmingham’s Snow Hill Station.
Based in the heart of Birmingham’s business district, Colmore Gate provides 18 meeting, training and conference spaces for a wide range of business events. Smaller, intimate training rooms are available, which can hold from two delegates upwards, or for larger events, The Colmore Suite holds up to 150 delegates. Conference rooms can be designed in a variety of configurations, including theatre, cabaret, boardroom and classroom style. Day delegate rates start from £30pp.
Colmore Gate’s contemporary interior is flooded with natural light, making it a bright and airy space in which to do business. Each of the 18 meeting spaces are equipped with top-of -the range AV equipment, including LCD and plasma screens, as well as free Wi-Fi throughout the venue.
To keep delegates refreshed throughout the day, De Vere Venues have introduced a new delicatessen concept at Colmore Gate, the Verve Deli, where diners can enjoy a variety of healthy and freshly prepared food. Refreshment stations are also on hand offering complementary tea, coffee, mineral water, fruit and homemade cake throughout the day.
Colmore Gate offer 15 dedicated car parking spaces onsite, or can offer delegate rate parking at the NCP, 350 yards from the venue at a reduced rate of £4.50 per day.
