Year of Get Up and Go campaign for 2012. The group, who pride themselves on their portfolio of Hotels with Personality, aims to get the nation up and about; discovering new and interesting things throughout the course of the year.
Everybody knows this is a big year for the UK’s sporting agenda and Best Western want to celebrate this in their own ‘personality’ way by showcasing the more unusual and interesting events that truly make Britain an island of diverse personality. So, whether it is the National Honey Show in Weybridge, the Southport Flower Show, or the St Andrew’s Golf Week, the UK really has something for everyone.
A section of the Best Western website is dedicated to the Year of Get Up and Go to allow users to find events, attractions and the perfect hotel across the UK. Holidaymakers simply search a region and time of year in order to find out what is happening in that area. The local Best Western hotels will then be listed alongside in order to book a Year of Get Up and Go break.

To make the process easier, the events have been categorised into Science & Knowledge, Music & Nightlife, Lifestyle, Weird & Wonderful, Kids & Family, Arts, Sports & Outdoors and Festivals & Heritage.
