British Airways cabin crew have raised the prospect of strikes over Easter after voting by more than 8-1 to carry out industrial action.
An overwhelming 83% of the 6,981 Unite members who returned a valid paper in the fourth BA crew ballot to be held in two years said yes to industrial action. Some 10,000 were sent voting papers. This is the the fourth BA crew ballot to be held in two years.

In a statement, Unite said the vote reflected the “continued resilience” of BA staff.

General secretary Len McCluskey said: “This vote shows that cabin crew remain determined to win justice. We urge BA's boardroom to see this as a clear message that they must think again about how to regain the trust and confidence of a significant part of their cabin crew operation.
"We continue to be in discussions with the company to find a solution to this long-running dispute."

Unite has yet to announce strike dates.
