Wow - you are doing so well. Keeping an interesting eye on your canning projects for ideas!

There is one thing I would really like to get finished for the winter and that is a rag rug I started  - to go in front of my Aga - but I can't see it happening, too many dog and music things taking up time at the moment along with work and ordinary home life stuff.

Starting with first company I worked for:-

Concert Hall - Director's Assistant
Car Auctioneers - Secretary
Recruitment as a Recruiter then bought the business and ran it myself.
Building & Design Company - PA to the MD
Private Individual - PA - Dream Job Smiley

with the odd bit of temping here and there for all sorts of businesses.

I come into the 'I get paid VERY fair' range.  The salary in my new job is a lot higher than my previous job and also the benefits I have in my new job are 100% better!  I think it would be hard for me to find a similar job with similar benefits that I would love just as much as what I am doing now.  I still have to pinch myself sometimes!!

My job has NO stress.  It gets very very busy but certainly isn't stressful and it has many challenges.   Perhaps I have just been very very lucky.

12  General Discussion / Admins 4 Admins / Re: How do you get your new boss to give you 15 minutes on: December 03, 2013, 05:42:27 pm
I think Atlanta has give some excellent advise there.

I guess I am very lucky though, I don't have to fight for time really with my boss, I can always call her, email her or just knock on her door anytime and she give me some of here time.    What I tend to do is say "can we have 5 minutes at some point" and 9 times out of 10 she will say "lets have it now" Smiley
13  General Discussion / Sound Off! / Re: Music in the Office on: December 03, 2013, 05:37:57 pm
I am lucky as I have an office to myself.  I love music whilst I work, I tend to use my ipad to listen to the radio on the net.  My boss doesn't seem to mind but I normally turn it off when she comes in so we can talk without my music in the back ground.
14  General Discussion / Sound Off! / Re: What is your busy time of the year? on: December 03, 2013, 05:36:26 pm
I can't really say what my busiest time of the year is - have only been in the position for 8 months and it seems to have been a very busy 8 months so far Smiley
15  General Discussion / Sound Off! / Re: Dress Code on: December 03, 2013, 05:34:55 pm
Working as part of a 'household' my dress code can be very varied depending who is about and what is going on.

Today I am wearing jeans and a jumper, but tomorrow I could be dressing up in a skirt and jacket it just depends.  Because I live next door to my employer I have even been seen in my dog walking clothes including the muddy boots!  The joys of living in the country Smiley
