Good Friday Afternoon... The last I wrote last month was about my HORRIBLE 90 day review... TODAY I had a 30 day follow up and he told me "I have improved" but that I still don't meet up to par... he continued to tell me that when I was hired and when he was looking at my resume, he thought that I was "up there" but when I came on board it wasn't that impressive... Well ladies, I came from 5 years of Internet Technology, there I was treated well and they were impressed TOTALLY with my work (until the layoffs) now I am working for a construction company who still is in 1987.. I also was a part time Web Designer... Today right before the review, I accidentaly fogot to space in a letter and in the review he had the nerve to go off about that ONE mistake I have made in a month... I thought it was horrible and hope to God that I am given a different direction.. Thank you for letting me VENT (again)

"He" has been out of the office for 3 days now..WOW what a tranquil and positive place it has been.  I am totally not looking forward to Monday.. But you see I don't want to feel this way..
I really do hope you find a job that you enjoy.  I know the job market sucks.. but you will find something.. Oh that brings me to this question, lets say I quit this hell hole of a job can my boss tell them that I was an "okay" admin (as he called me in our 90 day review) I know he can't go into detail but he may ruin my potential employers

Well sometimes I think that he regrets hiring me..reason being is that in May when I interviewed for this position two weeks later they called to tell me the position was filled.. so "Oh well" I thought..then another 2 weeks goes by and they call me back for a second interview.. So happy at the time, I went in to the interview.  They hired me. I was really excited.  I started to work and you office chat, people started   to get  to know me and started to ask "How is he"?  Is he mean?  I of course said "No".. but I have never in my life met someone so picky in my life. (He'll tell me to do something his way and when I do, and bring it back to him to look over, he says "No, I want you to do this this way" )
Well the story thickens and someone here that I am close to told me the whole story about why they called me to tell me  that the job was taken.  The girl that he liked took another position.  She said that from what she seen, he wouldn't let her telecommute and that the other position would.  From what I know he really liked the lady and so I guess maybe he is heartbroken ?  
You know, I can't motivate myself to work..

Thank you everyone for such wise advice... This weekend I did nothing but think about the review... I almost called in this morning.. There are people around town (where I am employed is a small town)  that have already told me before that the boss I work for is an ******* and that is the word they ALL used.. I think I am going to look for another job.. I have no motivation to work here anymore.. To whoever that created DeskDemon.com you are AWESOME.. You ladies that responded to my depressing story are such angels.. I will keep you guys updated (for sure  Thank you again

It was the most degrading thing that I have been through in my life... I absolutley have no more self esteem or motivation anymore...If some remember my post and update since I started this job 3 months ago... I thought I was doing a "good" job.. they put me on another 90 days..I did some projects for him, and he approved them and today he said " I never approved this"... I don't like it this way in front of the other manager... I have other major issues in life right now and adding this to it just me feel really worthless.......

I must admit though that is my fave part of my job ... oh okay I like the paycheck  and the fact that work is 5 minutes away from my house...

Well I have been here at this job for about "almost" 2 months and to tell you the truth it is still kinda the same as I had described a few weeks ago... I am really unhappy here,,, I try my best to as positive as possible but is so hard being in such a negitive place... I feel like the bossie thinks I am stupid.........I feel that I may not pass the 90 probation.. This boss that I work for IS VERY VERY picky..  I mean REALLY.... Like today for example, I faxed a 42 doc for him and the stupid fax machine kept jamming (after 3x finally sent it)... So he came by and hands me the doc and says What is the problem here,,, Like I am dumb (THis fax machine is OLD and it has a "special" way of feeding  the docs) Also, there is a position available here that consists of entering data into Excel spreadsheets,  a manager brought it up to him that I may be able to run the spreadsheets and he said no that I am here strictly for faxing, and letter writing.. To tell you the truth I have a lot of down time and I hate to be bored... And as we all know the economy is not so great so I can't just quit...
Thank you for letting me vent.. but I hope this situation gets better

Thank you guys  That is such great advice from everyone.. I kinda feel better that SOMEONE is actually responding to me  In one of the posts I think it was Countrygal she mentioned that now I have more time to spend with my family and not commuting back and forth all day... Well THAT right there made me realize that maybe it won't be so bad after all because if I have a real bad day I can just run home:)

Hello, this is my first time posting here...
well here is my situation,  I got laid off a year ago and recently landed a job here close to my house (1 mile) whereas last year I was commuting 160 miles a day (I know I know thats a long drive) Anyways I have been here now 3 weeks and I get paid half of what I used to get paid... I like some folks around here but I feel very lonely and bored... Nobody really talks to me and the boss doesn't really pay much attention to me as well.. Has anyone been through what I am going through and if so what did you do??  Oh and it took me a long time to find a job here in this town so I know if I quit then I lose the paycheck and probably will have search for another three or more months to get another job....
