I sympathise. I normally find if I don't get going in the morning it's a vicious circle and then have greater difficulty getting going later on. It helps to be methodical - I try to go through my bring forward file and mark out urgent tasks. To plan the day helps and try to do the more mentally demanding things when it suits you. To take a few minutes out planning is well worth the bother.
I find if I'm physically fit I can cope with anything mentally and sometimes go to the gym in the morning, before work. This does require a certain amount of organisation but it really does set you up for the day and actually gives you energy instead of sapping it. Even if you can't do this exercising regularly will improve your mental alertness.
Also take some time out for you in the evenings and do something that really makes you feel happy. Be it bubble bath with a glass of wine and book or meeting friends for a drink try to have some 'me' time.
Just bear in mind that this is a temporary phase and once you have the training and access you'll feel more like the old you.
Hope this helps!

I had 'frozen shoulder' for several years and one of the things that helped me was getting a cordless mouse and keyboard enabling me to position them where I wanted rather than holding my arms at an awkard angle.
Good luck.

I agree with everyone else and feel you should say something.
We've just had something very similar where I work - two guys in IT were fired because their PCs were found to contain highly confidential information. This was information that could not have got their by mistake and they were using this info for various means. They were 'marched' off the premises immediately so this is a very serious matter. Good luck!

I agree with nearly everyone else and would say something. We've just had something very similar where I work - two guys in IT were fired because confidential info was found to be on their PCs. This was info that couldn't have got there by mistake and was a serious breach of security and confidentiality. They were 'marched' off the premises so these things need to be taken very seriously. Good luck!

General Discussion / The Humour Zone / Trying to find jokes

Hi, can anyone help? I'm trying to find 2 jokes that I'm sure were posted on here at some stage.
1. A joke about a little boy playing with his train set and his use of bad language. 2. A letter from a man to his bank telling them of procedures he has put in place when dealing with them
Thanks in advance!

How funny!
My boss spent the day with his boss on Monday and I didn't get to see him at all. At the end of the day when I asked him if he was in the office on Monday he said "No, I'm with Mr. Smith on Monday - aren't I!" He had arranged a meeting that day and somehow thought I would automatically know. Guess those brainwaves aren't making it through the office walls - wonder if IT can help with this??
Happy Friday all and have a good weekend!
