No but I would really appreciate if anyone else can list their best ones as there are so many out there it's a bit of a minefield and I hate it when they take up loads of room and memory.

Coming in late to this, but yes, I think you had every right to feel angry. Especially as it turned out to be an Internal Trainer! Every course tells us that 'everyone' is our customer, but it seems sometimes that everyone else forgets that when dealing with PAs.

Glad it worked out. But it was very unprofessional of the trainer.

Well, that's it, all over for another four years. I was a bit disappointed in the closing ceremony, thought they missed a trick with 'Freddie' and We Are the Champions and Duran Duran' s Rio.

I thought the Rio handover was as bonkers as the opening ceremony 

Fave bit - apart from all the amazingly talented athletes was the Queen and James Bond. I will never ever forget the tiny smile on the Queen's face.

When do you leave?

Normal general office noise I can cope with - but when it goes above a certain level, I can't concentrate, let alone hear on the phone. I don't like it when people come into my office (waiting to see boss) and then my phone rings, I pick up and the people in my office start talking louder!

The way our office is set up, conference calls normally aren't too bad - it's normally the noise from the other people on the conference call - the background noise - phones, doors, footsteps, etc.

Our Regional Offices (usually a day - sometimes o/n) - drive/fly. Overseas - France, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, Italy, Spain - sometimes a day(!) but usually o/n - longest been a week for a conference.

I also don't like the business lunches - prefer to keep working - get in, get on and get out. It's nice to meet people that I deal with over the phone and through email etc face to face though. I do find travelling stressful and tiring.

Agree Jackie about the OC with Paul - oh dear. Lovely man, but he can't sing anymore - and where was Ringo...? They always wheel out PC for these big events but it is not needed. The event was amazing enough, with so much going on I couldn't take it all in.

Lighting the flame was stunning - then the fireworks - and I thought, this is so fitting, the colours lighting up the sky - now I can go to bed. But no, Hey Jude!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No more, please.

Now it's on - I am enjoying it all. However, I do wish they would sort out the empty seats - it's Wednesday and still going on?

Can't wait - big fan. Really looking forward to Opening Ceremony - guess because I am a Londoner and I love London Town. Didn't get tickets :-( - but a friend has tickets to the final of men's 100m... but she is taking DH.

I know the Red Arrows fly before 9pm - so looking forward to that too.

This thread got me thinking about previous bosses - and I guess really, maybe I've been lucky, I've trusted them and the senior managers too. And I trust them until I see, read or witness something different.
