Between the hurricanes hitting the south east part of the United States and the 8 plus earthquake in Mexico, my heart goes out to all.  If you can, even small donations to repeatable charities help.  My prayers are with everyone.

I am in a mid size company and my department has double standards!  My boss texts me and calls my cell phone all the time.  She is out of the office a lot, but... there is a policy no cell phones in the office.   This is an old policy and I think the times are changing.  Maybe.. .that is something I will think of a "how" to implement and offer and idea and a solution.. hmmm!  I like it!

Ditto on Trump.  I know we aren't supposed to get political, but how did he become president elect?   I am worried about his petty out bursts.


As for 2016 it was a good year, thinking back no bad things happened other then a bad cold.. or hear and there a problem but that is life!

As for 2017, it will also be a great year!  I have a wonderful vacation planned in June, job is steady and hopefully I can think of some more top 10 lists!

Depends on the product.   I need to always look at see what the cheapest product is, but quality does matter.  A cheap stapler dies, just buying a mid range one saves us money in the long run. Then there are the products we have both, pens... we have stick pens, but have more quality pens then the cheap stick pens.   Sometime cheap ends up costing more!  We had some cheap hanging folders, and the glue didn't stick so they kept dropping off the bar.  We also bought a generic box of mailing labels.  For the life of me, I couldn't get the label off the paper!

I feel I am in a no win situation at work, if I go left my boss says I should have gone right.  If I go right, I should have gone left.  My "mistakes" are personal perception.  I did something one way that is what I think common sense, but my boss wanted it an other way.. and said.. why didn't I ask.   I made a judgment call to get some work done, why didn't I ask him.  If I had asked him I am 100% sure it would have been, why didn't I research first then go to him....  I am at wits end.  Damned if I do, damned if I don't.      

I read this thread yesterday and decide before I post I make my changes.  I am bad, I need everything changed, I cross my feet, my mouse/desk is probably too high, the monitor too low.  At least today I adjusted my chair so the keyboard and mouse, and put some books to raise monitor.  Maybe it will make a difference.  I do notice a tired neck many days.

Does your company have any company perks?  I am considering a new position which is said to have "great" perks.  I didn't ask what those were so wondering what others consider perks and what others .. get ask perks.

I don't think anyone would take it personal.  If they did.. who cares! (well you know what I mean, not be rude).  I would go on my own unless it was mandated by management to carpool.

I decided to not even bother.  It is time to move on to a better company.  It maybe slow and I have to remember... dont feel too comfortable, there are better opportunities out there.
