Another Attempt?

I heard on the radio coming in to work this morning that a suspected bomber was shot this morning.  According to the report, he was reported as suspicious because he was wearing a long overcoat on a very warm day.  

Has anyone heard what is prompting these attacks?

Not exactly sure if he was being pursued as one of the bombers from yesterday - am sure we will hear in due course.  I guess the police are now acting on a "shoot to kill" policy if they suspect someone is acting or looking suspicious and may be carrying a bomb.  This is what NI was reduced to for 30 years and what London and some parts of the world (New York, Madrid) are now experiencing.
