Do they teach procrastination as part of business managment? We have a subcontractor that needs to be on a job next week and who's original subcontract was only for a portion of the work we need them to do. Since we sent the original subcontract back in the spring, no one and I mean, no one has bothered to finish negotiating the rest of the work and now they want me to get a new subcontract out via FedEx today. We have to call by 1:00 p.m. for same day pick up and its was 9:30 when I was told this. I don't have any of the information to get the subcontract revised and bossie #3 wants usage information for the past 4 months on some of our equipment that I couldn't enter into the computer correctly because no one gave me the rates I needed to be able to enter the usage hours. And I asked for them several times. And to top it all off, one of our consultants is here and they keep interrupting me to ask for information he needs (that I have given the consultant is 3 different forms already since he started). AAUGGHHH!!!!!!
I better get back to my research. At least bossie #3 is being understanding and isn't pressuring me to meet his original deadline.

Good luck MLM... Remember to keep smiling that admin smile and think SuperWoman, Office Goddess, and Xena all rolled into one. Hope you make the deadline or that bossie understands.

Thanks CG. So far so good. I'm 1/2 way home. Met the FedEx deadline. Guess our estimator felt guilty cuz he brought me the subcontract with the major stuff already done. Only had to clean it up and get it out.
Bossie #3 has left for a few hours and I'm 75% done with his stuff and the consultant just left. Bossie #2 just gave me a list of stuff the consultant wants that we already gave him so I have to get straight with Bossie #1 just how much I have to re-do. HOpefully not to much since we had to get someone in here to make all those copies the first time. Come to think of it, we made two sets. HMMM...........maybe I won't have to do as much as I thought if I can find the second set.
At least its lunchtime here and I can get out for a few minutes and just veg.
Tomorrow's Friday, right??

Glad you made your FedEx deadline, and it sounds like everything else is falling into place. What a way to shine! Way to go!

Evidently part of being an admin includes the ability to bend the laws of time, space, matter, and energy! Obviously they don't teach basic physics in business school!

Well, I made it through yesterday and everyone was happy. Bossie #1 is on vacation next week and I've got my list for next week. I love it when I have to do things for him because he is so reasonable about it all and if the others start getting antsy, all I have to do is say I'm working on something for #1 and I'll get to yours when I'm finished. Since #1 is ## 2 and 3's Dad, they don't question it.
Its Friday and the office is next to empty. Looks like its going to be a quiet productive day.
Thanks for the support ya'll. Have a good one.
