MIA - work and injuries
«

I have been missing in action for a bit! I hurt my neck and have to work through the pain! It is a long term injury, well a couple weeks it should be better. Of course my boss expects my outcome and quality of work to be up to par, but it is so hard! (there will have to be a blog entry about this once done and feeling better)
Anyone have to work through pain where your company is as compassionate .. as they should be. I don't have any complaints, I could take a day off (and will) here and there.

My company is fairly supportive of that sort of situation. In general, they do seem to care about their employees. However, they also don't want to incur any lawsuits from things like working an employee harder when a dioctor has put them on light duty or having a larger worker's compensation claim or HEAVEN FORBID, having to report an incident to the Federal Government that we work under. (Always the pragmatic side to compassion, isn't there?).
