Do you have to go cheap... oops inexpensive or can you get the supplies you deem quality. There are times quality outweighs a cheap product. Can you take that into consideration?

Depends on the product. I need to always look at see what the cheapest product is, but quality does matter. A cheap stapler dies, just buying a mid range one saves us money in the long run. Then there are the products we have both, pens... we have stick pens, but have more quality pens then the cheap stick pens. Sometime cheap ends up costing more! We had some cheap hanging folders, and the glue didn't stick so they kept dropping off the bar. We also bought a generic box of mailing labels. For the life of me, I couldn't get the label off the paper!

We have a surprising amount of leeway at my company to get what we consider to be the right product, but there are also various perspectives we consider - financial (we try to be good stewards of the taxpayers money), environmental (we try to go green as much as we can), etc.
