Agree Jackie about the OC with Paul - oh dear. Lovely man, but he can't sing anymore - and where was Ringo...? They always wheel out PC for these big events but it is not needed. The event was amazing enough, with so much going on I couldn't take it all in.

Lighting the flame was stunning - then the fireworks - and I thought, this is so fitting, the colours lighting up the sky - now I can go to bed. But no, Hey Jude!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No more, please.

Now it's on - I am enjoying it all. However, I do wish they would sort out the empty seats - it's Wednesday and still going on?
