Hi Everyone, Welcome to the final issue of What’s New in 2008! Before we get onto this month’s news, we would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your tremendous support. With your help, DeskDemon has grown significantly during 2008 and now, over 100,000 PAs, secretaries, administrators and senior support staff from around the UK visit the site monthly. Plus, we’re also delighted that so many of you have also subscribed to both this e-newsletter and PA Enterprise, our digital magazine. It’s been a very busy year. We’ve seen new sections launched including the popular KnowledgeDesk - packed full of helpful tips, templates and information that’s hard to find elsewhere. JobDesk was re-launched and received excellent feedback as the place to go to find everything to do with job hunting and finding that perfect job; and our Agony Uncle received a large post bag, with Paul Pennant offering his down to earth and practical advice on how to overcome the challenges that you face on a daily basis. Finally, the response we had to the Management Support Fellowship Award was absolutely stunning. You cast nearly a million votes for truly exceptional candidates from right across the United Kingdom. By your popular vote, Debbie Neal, Executive Administrative Manager and PA to the Group CEO and the Group COO of G4S took home the title and £10,000 in prize money.
