That's right! One DeskDemon Express subscriber will get the chance to work with me to put together an issue of the e-zine in the spring. For anyone interested in writing or editing, it's a very exciting challenge! We'll release full details of the competition in the October edition, but in the meantime, get your thinking caps on. I'll be asking for a 300-word article on why you think you could edit the e-zine, as well as six feature ideas on a given subject, that you think would grab our readers. So look out for the entry form next issue - and you could be our first ever "Guest Editor", putting together your very own issue of DeskDemon Express!
In the meantime, it seems unbelievable as we all return from our holidays, but Christmas is not far away! Certainly not for those who are charged with organising the fun for everyone else. For this reason, we've come up with a great selection of features that you're bound to find useful, and, I hope, thought-provoking. From tips on party organising to views on how other cultures and religions feel about the corporate festivities, and from advice on getting home safely to a quirky perspective on what your Christmas cards say about your firm.
If you have nuggets of advice on Christmas Planning - or any other topic - don't keep them to yourself. Send them to express@deskdemon.com and we'll be happy to publish them. Anything which helps you all to do a better job is fine by us!
So, we hope you like the new look of DeskDemon Express and that you find this issue useful. With any luck, you'll be so organised by the time the festive season arrives, you'll be relaxed and cool, and able to enjoy the fun along with your colleagues.
With best wishes
