Title: Happiness in Job Post by: susan silva on April 16, 2015, 04:40:10 am Are you happy in your job or is a means to pay the bills? Most people want to be happy, and many love being PAs or EAs but something is missing. Hopefully you are one of those who truly love their job, if you are, let us know!
Title: Re: Happiness in Job Post by: Cozwaz on April 17, 2015, 02:39:01 pm I am one of those truly loving my job. Its now been two years since I packed up and moved to take up this post and I have no regrets what so ever. Life is wonderfully amazing in every way.
Coz - A very happy PA Title: Re: Happiness in Job Post by: Atlanta Z3 on April 21, 2015, 03:49:26 pm I had to pause and think about this. Am I truly happy? For the most part yes, I'm in my chosen profession, working with people I respect and from whom I can learn. Would I like to win the lottery and be on a beach or in Paris - Sure! But for now I'll go back to work! :)
Title: Re: Happiness in Job Post by: IndigoRose on April 26, 2015, 11:12:45 pm Yes, I am quite happy in my job. That does not mean that I am not open to bigger opportunities, but I am content and learning every day.
Title: Re: Happiness in Job Post by: Urban on April 28, 2015, 03:27:41 pm Yes, I am very happy in my chosen career and my place of employment. I am appreciated, valued, and respected. Couldn't ask for anything more.
Title: Re: Happiness in Job Post by: msmarieh on April 29, 2015, 04:10:11 am I'm mostly happy but would prefer to find a position with more challenge (different types of challenges to what I have now). I'm actually fairly bored, but for the moment, the job suits my larger life purpose.
Title: Re: Happiness in Job Post by: claudiamag on May 19, 2015, 08:28:38 pm I'm happy with my job. Of course there are bad days when I want to punch my boss or coworkers (haven't done it yet, keep your fingers crossed for me ;D ), but in general I am happy. I like what I do, get along fairly well with my coworkers, my boss is a handful but I have learned to adjust and work well with him and I am very well compensated.
Title: Re: Happiness in Job Post by: jennika on June 24, 2015, 05:39:31 am I like Claudiamag's answer! I can but wont complain about compensation, but besides that the job fits my personality and I enjoy it!

Title: Re: Happiness in Job Post by: Thompson on September 22, 2015, 08:43:57 pm I have worked for large corporations and small business offices. I can honestly say what a journey it has been. This is the longest employment I have had going on 9 years. I love my job because it has became my family. We text on weekends, we share humor, and there is a genuine need for each of us to succeed. We are the department that strives to model after us. I love my job and the pay does help. The pay comes in second.
Title: Re: Happiness in Job Post by: Deadmon on October 28, 2015, 08:59:34 am I have been in my current job for one year today. Started out loving it, no drama, great people, good money, inspired every day. Now, drama everywhere, no direction from Boss, lacks leadership skills, company changes all the time, so for now, just biding my time, trying to be productive, but on the lookout for something more challenging, more opportunity to grow.
Title: Re: Happiness in Job Post by: peaches2160 on October 29, 2015, 12:14:22 am Mostly happy. However, with changes in the company culture since a merger, and my boss of a long time retiring, I find myself not as enthused as I was a couple of years ago, and earlier in my career as an EA. I like my bosses, respect them, and learn from them. But adjusting to change is never easy I guess.
