Yesterday my boss came to me to change a flight to later in the day for the next day. I sent him the info and followed up. Was told that he will check with person in other city to confirm. End of day as I'm shutting down the computer I remembered the travel arrangements. Popped into his office ???? tomorrow's travel. "Oh sorry I'm not going." me... "Uh what about cancelling flights - if you no show for a flight no refund!" (subtext to myself - I used a refund ticket for this travel!) So end of day canceling travel for next day. My closing comment to him "Isn't it nice that I watch out for the company budget?" We had similar problems in the past. Actually quite often. Enough so that a policy was implemented. If the traveler misses their flight (their fault, such as showing up late, etc.) or is a no-show, they are charged the full cost of the flight. Its only happened a couple of times, but I think it was enough to scare everyone straight :D I feel for you! |
