My husband and I are traveling this week and were able to vote early in our state. My son was at the polls at 6:00 am when they opened and just finished at 8:00 am. I never remember it taking 2 hours to vote.

I haven't voted yet, I'll be going down this evening, so I expect to see some line. But since I live in a small rural town, I don't expect it to take hours and hours to vote.

30 minute wait for me this morning in my small town of 4,000. I don't mind long lines and waiting, when in some countries there is violence around elections or sham elections. In my opinion, it's both a privilege and a duty to vote!

Hubby and I will vote tonight after work. My co-worker said she got through the line quickly, but she was there very close to when they first opened up and she was already number 200!
I am so thankful the day is finally here. Am sick to death of campaign ads!

The advertisements will not disappear fast enough for me. And what will the news commentators talk about once things are done.

Very interesting, especially about the queues for voting. I have never had to wait to vote here - walk in, get my paper, go to the booth, mark it with an X and return it to the election officers. All done inside 5 minutes.

We live in a very small country Jackie compared to the US. A lot of people in the UK and NI don't vote at all, if ever.
In NI we use schools as polling stations so interested to hear if same is done in the US.

A blogger I read in Indianapolis waited in line about 3 hours Saturday to do early voting.
The polls were very busy for me yesterday, but there was no real line per se. Hubby and I were in and out fairly quick.

Well we now know who the next President will be, and wether we voted for him or not, he's our Commander in Chief and will support the next 4 years. Not sayin I agree with his politics, and I did not vote for him, but I'm with McCain,UNITY is a must.
